Ortho-Bionomy®

Position-based release of muscular tension

Pushing through pain will often cause the body to tighten even more.

When something feels like a threat, your body responds by protecting—holding tension in the muscles rather than allowing it release.

Ortho-Bionomy takes a different approach.

Instead of working against tension, it works with your body—gently moving toward positions of ease rather than resistance.

Think of trying to loosen a knot in a rope.

If you pull on it, the knot tightens. But if you gently bring the loops together, it begins to soften and release.

It’s similar to a push-to-open latch—pressing in slightly is what allows it to open.

Your body responds in much the same way.

By guiding it into positions of comfort and support, we signal the nervous system that it’s safe to let go—allowing muscular tension patterns to unwind naturally.

This often leads to noticeable changes without force or strain—restoring ease and natural movement in a way that feels sustainable.
