Ortho-Bionomy®
THE BODY'S "U-TURN" SIGNAL

Did you know pushing through pain can actually make muscles tighten more?

We’re often taught to stretch or press a tight area to release—but your body has protective reflexes that resist when something feels like a threat.

Ortho-Bionomy takes a different approach: instead of pulling against tension, we move toward ease.

Think of trying to loosen a knot in a rope. If you pull anywhere along the rope, the knot just clamps down. But if you gently bring the loops together, the knot softens and begins to release.

That’s what we do with your body. By guiding it into positions of comfort and support, we give the nervous system a kind of “U-turn” signal—letting it know it’s safe to let go.

This often leads to surprisingly quick shifts—without force, strain, or discomfort.
